Bob Newhart was a comedian in the early 1960s (still alive) who specialized in one sided conversations. (Like overhearing a phone call.) He was afraid of flying, so when he would talk to the passenger next to him, he would say, “Wow, look at how high we are. The people down there look like ants.” And the other guy would say, “They are ants, you dummy. We haven’t take off yet.”
