How can there be a coherent proactive/productive Congress with an irrational, incoherent, emotional, attention-seeking, faction pretending to be members of a political party?
And meanwhile, Bob Menendez sits happy as a clam in the Senate, just as though he wasn’t a corrupt bribe recipient. After the Republicans tore their hair shirts over George Santos. Too bad the Republicans can’t be craftier and more devious, like the Democrats are.
I wonder if she went home and told her husband and kids, “my pimp took me off his roster, so you can call me romney again.”
During that hour and a half when she had the NBC job, ronna was like, “HeII yeah, trump lost in 2020! I was lying!!”
Now, when she’s in the minor leagues, trying to get a job at oan or newsmax, I wonder if she’ll be like, “I was lying about lying!! Can you spare a job? Clearly, I’ll say anything!!!”
MTG lobs ‘completely backward’ new excuse for Trump’s ‘find me the votes’ call
Appearing on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast, Greene claimed that Trump simply believed that a large batch of ballots had been lost in the mail and that he wanted Georgia’s top election official to seek them out.
“When President Trump got on the phone with our secretary of state… and said, ‘Can you find the votes, where are they?’ he was basically looking for ballots and these ballots have been lost in the mail,” she said.
“And so there was nothing wrong with what President Trump said. In fact, I think he’ll be vindicated easily by a lot of the work that I’m doing.”
However, Semafor political reporter Dave Weigel did a quick check of Greene’s claim — and found it to be utterly false.
“This is completely backwards,” Weigel remarked on Twitter. “Trump wanted ballots already counted for Biden to be disqualified, until he (Trump) took the lead again.”
He then posted relevant excerpts from Trump’s call with Raffensperger that illustrated his point.
“We can go through signature verification and we’ll find hundreds of thousands of signatures, if you let us do it,” Trump told Raffensperger at one point.
’Wouldn’t that be rich’: Marjorie Taylor Greene may end up stepping on her own rake
Republicans largely oppose Greene’s threat against Johnson, at least for now, and see through her motivations.
“She’s on the McCarthy revenge tour,” said House Freedom Caucus Chair Bob Good (R-VA), one of eight GOP lawmakers who voted to remove McCarthy. “We don’t talk about removing the speaker. We’re trying to influence him to do the right thing.”
However, Greene’s threat could backfire and encourage Johnson to work with Democrats to pass a $1.2 trillion spending bill most Republican oppose and giving them floor time for Ukraine aid as incentive to help save his job.
“Wouldn’t that be rich,” said one House Republican, who summed up the GOP fear that Johnson would have no choice but seek help from Democrats in return for Ukraine aid.
The current reality among the tЯц❄plican Party in Congress is that whoever dares to work with Democrats to get more work done without permission of The Boss is considered to be a traitor who must be punished and ousted from the Chaos Club.
That, Mr. Goodwyn, is fact, and not your fanciful idealistic first panel where the Elephant / GOP wants to “get more work done”.
They literally have NO policies other than a cowardly “Whatever The Boss Wants”, which is why so many career Republicans already have or will resign their positions in disgust.
I kind of like MTG as she’s a bit of a gadfly to Congress. She says outrageous things just to pi$$ off Democrats. She tweaked the left into believing in Israeli Space LASERs and other such nonsense.
