The U.S. has told Israel that it will withhold future shipments of bombs if the invasion of Rafah takes place. However, that doesn’t affect Israeli use of U.S. bombs already shipped and in their possession.

Israel doesn’t need Biden to win this war. By the time the weapons they requested, and our Congress approved, arrived the war will be over and Hamas will be no more. It will be over at least until the next generation of Gaza’s Jew haters come of age. Message to Joe: Don’t,, and get out of the way.

Everyone that Biden said “Don’t” to did. No one respects Biden or worries about him as he is feckless. We need to get him out of 1600 Penn Ave. Now. The world is less safe with an imbecile steering the ship.

In the “minds” of the US rw-evangelicals the Israelis can do no wrong — it seems — as I learned, 10 years ago; when I read aloud, a critical opinion of Israel’s violent land grabbing, in the CSM newspaper my evangelical in-laws had given me to peruse. It was two [quiet/civil] years before they spoke to me again.

“… According to a 2013 BBC poll, public opinion of Israel is worsening. Favorability ratings dropped 8 percent in both Spain and Germany, to the single digits. Even in Britain, the first European country to formally support the establishment of a Jewish state, only 14 percent of citizens have a positive view of Israel today.

EU citizens and lawmakers alike have long opposed Israeli policies, but popular discontent – cultivated by the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement since 2005 – is increasingly pressuring businesses and governments to take more concrete action.

Nothing brought the issue to the streets quite like Scarlett Johansson’s recent endorsement of the home sodamaker SodaStream, which operates a factory in the West Bank. Ms. Johansson refused calls to stop supporting Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands with her endorsement, instead praising the factory as a haven of coexistence that provides some 500 Palestinians with badly needed jobs. The Hollywood star’s step into the fray gave the BDS movement new currency.

“[The SodaStream boycott] has … *led to mass education of the public everywhere about the illegality of Israel’s settlements, Israel’s denial of Palestinian rights, and, crucially, the need to boycott companies producing in settlements as a minimal measure of ending complicity in grave violations of human rights,” * says human rights activist and BDS cofounder Omar Barghouti. …" — >

Regarding the cartoon, . . . if only. Sponge Brain Biden has dishonored America’s standing in the world by abandoning our allies. We fled Afghanistan without bothering to tell our allies we were leaving (after equipping the Taliban with state of the art military weapons and infrastructure), we withheld arms from Ukraine to prevent a Russian battlefield defeat, and now we’re withholding arms from Israel, our only true ally in the ME. He is a despicable coward.

About time Bibi understands he doesn’t run President Biden or the US. IMO no weapons or funds (Israel receives the most assistance from the US. ‘Israel has been the largest cumulative recipient of U.S. foreign aid since its founding, receiving about $300 billion (adjusted for inflation) in total economic and military assistance.’ – - Council of Foreign Relations, 2024) for weapons should be part of the funding anymore.

I am not anti-Semitic but I am becoming anti-Zionist. I was an am outraged by Oct. 7th. Bibi is going the proverbial one step too far. 30,000 + Palestinians killed, millions starving.

What is the equation here? Hamas brutally kills a few thousand people. Israel brutally kills tens of thousands. Both sides lack any motivations for peace, because BOTH sides reject the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.

It would be idiotic to stop the military campaign now that they have the terrorists on the run. All it does, is give them time to regroup and rearm, which might cost lives of israeli soldiers. Biden only does it to please the Hamas supporters on the looney left

Israel may be short of the precision-guided munitions needed to avoid civilian casualties. They won’t be short of conventional bombs, missiles, and bullets.

Hamas is doomed to get what it wished for.

I have to give it to Joe Biden for risking losing the Pro-Israel vote by cutting off their bombs from the latest shipment. Biden will continue defensive weaponry shipments, but not weapons designed for offensive operations like bunker busting bombs, that also destroy nearby housing, too.

After Pearl Harbor we entered WWII, were responsible for hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties and didn’t stop until Germany and Japan surrendered. In the wake of 9/11 we invaded Afghanistan, were responsible for tens of thousands of civilian casualties and didn’t stop even after we took out bin Laden. Now Biden, who’s been wrong on every critical international issue including the decision to eliminate bin Laden, decides Israel should stop before their enemy, Hamas, is eliminated or surrenders. Biden is a hypocritical disaster stumbling from one crisis to another. Israel is the only friendly Democratic ally we have in the Middle East.

For the sake of the USA and her allies abroad vote Republican across the board in November.

It’s a fallacy to think that Israel could destroy Hamas without killing tens of thousands of civilians (mostly women and children),. Collateral and permanent damage will be the creation of generations of revenge-seeking terrorists, endless recycles of war, entrenched militarism, along with the enmity of the world. And the U.S., as the arms merchant for that massacre, will be complicit.

Genocide or Ethnic Cleansing? Well, one of the commanders for General Tecumseh Sherman justified it with his slaughter of Native Americans (which, BTW, is trying to be removed from history by the MAGAs):

    “Nits make lice”

This was his comment when his army, under Col Chivington, fell on a group of Cheyennes at Sand Creek, where they had gathered under the governor’s so-called protection. “We must kill them big and little,” he told his men. “Nits make lice”.

It was also attributed to Oliver Cromwell, who said “nits make lice” to justify his massacre of Irish troops in the 1640s. And so it continued, throughout history. And the MAGA Maniac also dehumanizes his enemies, especially migrants, as “vermin”… another “Final Solution” in the making?

The MAGA-inspired commenters and their beloved cartoonists are fine with falling into the long-term counter-productive strategy of massacres. This is how the cycle of wars and endless misery maintains it’s perpetual-motion engine of death. What do they care? It’s not “us” that suffers.

What I find interesting the people who study warfare in the US Army War College are saying the IDF is showing them how to conduct urban warfare, and their methods will be studied and used my the US for many years to come. The IDF has the lowest civilian death percentages of any army in history. By telling the people living in the towns in Gaza of an upcoming invasion Hamas has seen their human shield leave. When they try to prevent them from leaving like cockroaches they come out into the open. Israel tracks them back to where they are hiding and destroys them. Interviews with the civilians leave take 2 tracks, if they can been seen and ID’d it all pro-hamas and death to Israel, this because they want stay alive. When interviewed where the person cannot be ID’d is where we learn how evil hamas is.
