Has “Nancy” ever had archs before?! This is great, Guy, I’m loving it!! Nice to see a cartoonist with a head on his shoulders who isn’t afraid to try new things and give his comic a fresh start!

I think Ernie Bushmiller would be impressed.

A refreshing change to the “gag a day” format this strip oftenuses.

Well, a bit of a relief that it seems like Phil wasn’t looking to take advantage……boy, is he in for a shock when he sees the new, improved Fritzi. I wonder what happened to him? He looks 100% original. ‘Course, guys don’t tend to change their hair styles that much……

Nancy first appeared as a houseguest in the Fritzi Ritz comic strip in 1933. In 1938, Sluggo appeared. Fritzi then became Nancy’s guardian and mother figure and the strip was renamed Nancy.

Hi everyone! I’ll be away from the computer at a charity event in Florida. If you are in the Tampa area, you already know about The Angelus Home. It’s a great charity. The residents have my heart…and have now for 16 years. I’ll be with my friends from Nashville, Charlie Daniels, Confederate Railroad, and Little Texas….and many football and baseball stars to help raise money for these angels. In the meantime, I want to thank you for accepting the ongoing story. It’s a challenging ,very fun format for me to write and draw.! It’s very cool to see you are interested in the characters! have a great weekend! BIG stuff happens this week in the strip! Stay tooned…and I’ll be back on this board Monday.

@JustineI am afraid that Phil will find that Fritzy is out of his league.

Fritzi isn’t shallow. She sees what’s in people’s hearts, not their outward appearance. It does seem a bit odd to see Phil drawn in a more cartoony style than Fritzi, but then again, most of the other characters are drawn that way, and there is precedent for an odd mix of styles. I’m thinking Roger and Jessica Rabbit.

Winter approaches and Fritzi is wearing a pencil-skirt and a cleavage blouse. She’s my kinda dame.

@larryh77 & yardlet6Archs? Where? I don’t see any archs. Or could it be that you mean arcs, as in story arcs? Yes, those were quite prominent in the early strips, & have been known to resurfaces from time to time.
