Hi everybody… I’m running a bit late…. but it was hard to carry this on the bus.

It’s for Dry….. but I’m not that sure she’ll stop by Ballard Street…. and I may be out later, if she does.

Bev…. you seem to think she will…. so if I’m not here, maybe you could tell her I ..um…. “baked” it…. that would be nice….

And if she doesn’t…. we can have it anyway, for late dessert and breakfast at the Tiki on the next turn…

Happy birthday Dry, if you see this….hope you do….

Linda…. you need to use a “width” attribute when you post pictures that are over about 350 pixels wide.

You can see how wide they are when you right-click them and click “properties” or “view image info” ….If you see, for instance, 325 × 273, it’s 325 pixels wide by 273 tall.

That one you posted is 1500 pixels wide… and the comment box is only about 375.

The cake I posted is 400…. a hair too big but I thought it would be OK.

    Thank you, Red! Cheers!

Linda, I don’t know whether you’re using the exclamation points or the regular code to post pictures….but I tend to make fewer mistakes, myself, with the regular code. It’s very easy:

    <img src="URL" width="350"/>

Substitute the desired width for the 350…. and if it’s already under 375 just leave that part out.

For example, you seem to have posted <img src="http://tridge.us/images/catbox.jpg" />

or maybe just the location between exclamation points…but you should have posted <img src="http://tridge.us/images/catbox.jpg" width="360" />

    To get

    (I hope)

Linda…. well, you can just ignore limiting the width, but you’ll continue posting huge pictures…

The site used to chop them off at the border of the comment box but a moth or so ago, they started letting them post.

The thing is most people can’t be bothered to scroll a giant picture…and if anybody out there still has a slow connection or an old computer it will really hang them up.

It’s easy enough to stick in a width, though.

If you’re posting with exclamation points you just do this:

    !URL'width='350!

but I sometimes blow that one.

The cat pic that way would be

    without any spaces.

Well…. I kinda wondered why that particular picture….but it was a good one to make an example of, since it was SO big…and you can see how simply adding a few bits controls the size.

If you look at it again in the clear, pre-Kahlua light of day, it’ll look much simpler…. LOL

Since we seem to be celebrating Dry, I figured we needed some Dry humor, we’re at a comics site after all. So I thought about dry jokes and then thought there must be some good Dry humor related to underwear — since that’s the subject of the comic. Google to the rescue, though not the way I expected. The picture links to the main site, the Dry underwear is on the second page as a thong.Just in case the picture goes away, here’s the link to Dry Humor Underwear

@X, I will have to wait aand see if anyone else posts from FB. @Linda, that IS why I moved from IL (shoveling sidewalks, scraping windshield and driving on snow and ice). @Pcolli, The only drink II ever made with butterscotch liquor was mixed with the Brazilian Piranja (sp?) a ver bitter cola liquor. I think I may make myself a pot of expresso to have with some brandy. I just had a call from my daughter’s house talking to her new husband mostly but also with her (and greetings from the grandkids. I’ll be seeing them all in about 2 weeks.
