Advice I got from my stepdad 55 years ago.

But most of the time you get told to do it over again.

That’s right, but what is it, when you want to do your job and you like your job and you are not able to do it better!?

Calvin, since today is Saturday, you’ll have plenty of time to do it again.

I’m surprised a 6-year-old woud be expected t do job like that without adlt help.

There is several chores around here that I feel this way about But Calvin dose it so much better ,I just dream about doing so bad.

or, don’t shovel it, let nature take of it. or, don’t shovel it, use chemicals to melt away the snow and ice. or, move to a warmer location like guam.

Hobbes looks shocked at Calvins statement .

That only works when you’re old enough to get married, Calvin.

My husband thinks this works. He’ll eventually figure out that it’s a lot easier to just do it right, which he IS able to do.

Sometimes you get ordered to do it over and over until you get it right.

Then how did Obama get re-elected?

Curiously you don’t quite get it. That is exactly his point.

You just didn’t do a bad enough job of it to make them believe you’d never get it right.

Doesn’t work for me. My parents just make me go back and do it over.

Luckily I have no snow.

When I was about 12, I deliberately tried to get out of drying dishes by putting the siverware any ol’ place. But my mother threatened to make me wash and dry the dishes if I did that again.

Calvin: 6 years old and already he knows (or at least thinks he knows) how to “game the system” to his advantage regarding his chores! ;-)

He went to a lot more work than if he had done it right. Now, once he shovels over to the driveway and gets the piles out of the way, he’ll be done.
