The debt ceiling represents what CONgress has already agreed to spend. The republicans are using it as an excuse to kill Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and any other program that benefits the 99% of Americans that are not rich.Don’t believe anything republicans say.

Hi, Ima: I know we’re all supposed to ignore you, but I must let you know (facts are hard, but you have to know) that Dubya took an entire THIRD of his 2 terms in office OFF. A THIRD of the time he was “the president” he was off hiding at the “ranch” or just off hiding. This beat the Reagan record of vacation time, but even I realize that when Reagan went to work his ranch, he was still actually working. Dubya was just sittin’ ‘round gabbin’ with folks, ignoring the warnings (“okay, thar ya go, you’ve covered yore ass now”)
Obama doesn’t exactly run to Hawaii every 2 seconds. He has family there, so he does get out there over the holidays. I am glad for him to do that. Get some sun and enjoy your family and come back refreshed. As someone who has family in Hawaii, I know it is a bit of a hassle to visit, just thanks to all the time it takes, but it is worth it once you get there! W ran to Texas a heck of a lot more to cut back the brush, if you buy into the myth of Crawford, Texas. Why is W the only Bush with a southern accent? Can anyone explain that? That bothers me.
