You’re not engaged to the whole world, Cathy. Share your ring and your joy with your fiance, with family and interested friends if you have to – but it’s really for the two of you.

So many eyerolls! If I were engaged, that’s how I’D ROLL.

For probably the first time ever, I actually agree with Irving on this one. Put her on the stool, I’ll go eat.

While I’m glad to see Cathy finally acting excited about the engagement (given the fact that they both seemed anything but excited when it first happened), I think she really needs to dial it back a notch. While their friends and family (especially her mom!) are very happy for them, the strangers at this restaurant aren’t going to give a rat’s patootie about it. If anything, they’ll more than likely be annoyed at having their dinners disturbed by her excessive bragging and the flashing around of her ring rather than be happy for the newly engaged couple. Better to just get the quiet table in the back and privately celebrate their happiness alone with a nice dinner and bottle of wine (or champagne) instead. It would be so much more romantic that way. ♥
