Old joke… VERY old joke.

I’ve always wondered why Mississppi would name itself in such a way as to render its citizens unable to spell it.

Years ago my oldest son ,then 5, asked me if I could spell Mississippi with one i, then he cover one of his eyes and started to spell Mississippi.

Gee I learned M-iss-iss-ippi

Or you can spell it backward by turning around.
