Ah, Marigold, what tremendous patience and understanding you have…and a tremendous sense of humor, too.

Does she mean in the physical sense or the mental sense?

Never show a child a blank surface if you want it to stay that way :)

No true artist can turn aside from a blank canvas. Are those magic markers? One can buy glitter paints and dyes specifically for decorating horses and ponies. They wash off.

Now its Marigolds turn to face paint Phoebe. Equines have incredibly dextrous lips which would make holding a marker easy.

Will this make Marigold less prone to staring in mirrors?

I think thats exactly what a unicorn would look like if a 9 year old girl got a hold of one AND some markers. Also Im all for painting Phoebe next. (maybe on Dana’s Deviantart) but 1st, some one hide the pallor bears!

OMG!! ::huge grin:: This is so . . . so . . . doggonnit, I just don’t have words! And Marigold’s expression at the end . . . just made my heart melt and made me feel so glowy and warm inside. Dana, you’ve done it again!!

Read Typee the island tattoo artist nearly burst into tears because Melville had no tattoos on completely white skin. He stalked Melville for months trying to work the perfect canvass..Reason 1-3 don’t apply to unicorns.

This is reminiscent of the O&M hair curse. I wonder if it will be repeated from time to time.
