I had a cat that LOVED riding in the car… until she had to go to the vet for a painful treatment. She never forgot it and hated the car after that.

Try giving your (future) cat treats and praise her after the trip. My dog loves his trips now, and even jumps into the driver seat.

I always seat belted my cat’s carrier. Right in the middle of the back seat so that he could look between the two front seats.
