According to some online history, in the early days Mary Worth stories would each involve a completely different characters with Mary only appearing near the end to offer some of her wisdom. Mary is more involved now, but the stories do seem to be completly separate, while strips like Judge Parker and Rex Morgan may keep several balls in the air or on the back burner.
MW: I don’t know of many airports where the planes can be seen through a window that is not part of a departure lounge. And those are only visible to those who have already been through the TSA checkpoint. Non-passengers don’t get that far. (Although I did see a tv show where the rich boyfriend bought a ticket to anywhere in order to accompany his girlfriend to the departure lounge – I think it was Carter on ER.)Did anyone else notice that the plane has no wings?

MARY WORTH: I’ll bet Mary will meet someone at the airport with a new story who will need Mary’s advise.
REX MORGAN: Honey should have gotten into a service profession – and I don’t mean the kind she’s in now.
APT3G: At this point the Fire inspector should be coming around to question everyone about the cause of the fire.
