she goes out to exercise to have some adult conversation with other women that are there for the same thing. They walk on the treadmill and talk about their lives, children, husbands, parents, and such,it gives them a way to voice concerns and get advice and opinions from other women with the same issues. Also to get away from John and his snerky commnets. lol

Why would she want to exercise at home and listen to John’s snarky remarks? Besides which he wouldn’t be too thrilled at the cost of some of those exercise machines.

Not only John but the kids would be constantly interrupting her “Mom? Can you do this for me? Mom, can you do that for me?”

Maybe that’s why I do all my workouts at home: free weights and crunches etc on one day and elliptical and dance on the next (so something every day) . No one here to interrupt – and if my man comes to visit, He’d give me plenty of excercise, as he does when I travel to visit him. ;-D

“And she wouldn’t have to put up with John’s snarky comments”.Susan, you do realize your daily “snarky” comments about John are much worse than his. You have said you are not married. I am sure all men are glad you didn’t. None of us would want to put up with your snarky comments.

I think John’s right: when it comes to something like exercising, misery really DOES love company! I don’t know about anyone else, but I find it a whole lot easier to do a dreaded chore of any kind if there’s someone there by my side that’s “suffering” right along with me!!!!! ;-)

Working out at gym is a maintenance thing and has to be done about 4 to 5 times a week to stay in shape. John looks like crap. So there u have it folks he does not go to gym.
