My grandfather used to tell a story about a kid named Joe Stinks. He hated his name, obviously, and coudn’t wait ’til he was old enought to apply for a name change. He changed it to Bill Stinks.

Do I sense these two starting to age and then go on dates?

Guy, I see you remember the old Superman comic books, one of which was Action Comics. Also the irony of a comic strip character reading a comic book.

Sluggo SMITH? Wow. Never knew he had a last name. But Smith sounds appropriate, I lived in a small town with quite a few Smiths and any one of them could be called Sluggo. Guess it’s no big deal as long he never grows up.

…..and Superman and Nancy both go back to the Thirties….at least as far as the original “Fritzi Ritz” comic strip, right?? Time flies….

This is an old comic and I’m enjoying the catching up. I wish Sluggo had hair like pee-wee.
