No way on God’s green earth he could get beyond the “legacy impediment” of his brother. It’s too bad, because as a conservative he’s one of the better of the bunch. I still like the neurosurgeon who spoke at the Washington prayer breakfast. He’s actually a rational person and he’s really likeable for a republican. But then again my solution for most of the political malaise in Washington today is retire the whole bunch of them and start over. We need to dump all the baby boomers and get the “next” generation in, since they’re the ones that are going to be saddled with all this debt and misery we are creating now.

I recall that in 2008 the R’s decided to go look at what they needed to do to reach out to more voters. Their decision was….to double down. They’ll do it again.
