Went to the Doctor today, my PCP. asked me if I was taking my meds. (Of course) She said I’m pre-diabetic, which I’ve been told for about 15 years. Basically no notable changes. Come back on the 2nd of May and disuss the results of my blood-work, blood taken today. First doctor visit in six months. Guess I’ll just keep on doing like I do.
Good morning, everybody. I arrived at LaGuardia Airport yesterday at 9 AM and luckily my friend was there to take me home. I had only 1 or 2 hours sleep the night before, so I spent yesterday unpacking, reading all the newspapers another friend had brought me and napping. I only woke up now, at 4:13 AM EDT.

After losing my mother, my grandmother, my sister and my niece to Diabetes, I can tell you it is nothing to gamble with.Finished laying the base boards yesterday and got half the shoe molding done. Should be able to finish that today. We also got the dining room light installed. We have one more light to go yet.
Good morning Slim & Villagers…The PHANTOM comics story is currently called “The Aeronaut,” so those of us who follow this strip are waiting for a balloonist or blimp pilot to show up. In the meantime, I have seen two blimps overhead in as many days – yesterday it was the Goodyear blimp and the day before it was the Despicablimp (a promo for the upcoming Despicable Me 2 movie). When I saw the Despicablimp I didn’t yet know what it was all about, and thought I was “seeing things.” Despicablimp is traveling the U.S. – here’s what it looks like: Crazy-Looking Blimp

We just got back from Great Falls again. We got about an inch of snow overnight, and nothing down here. It got all the way up to 58 yesterday! Hurray…..Spring is finally here!
Now, it is a week before we fly out to Raleigh for 2 weeks. It’s time to start filling those suitcases and seeing what we need to purchase for the trip. We’ll be dragging out all our short sleeved shirts, and hope that it won’t be cold. Although I’d rather it was cold than hot and humid!!!
That is one weird blimp, Florchi. Good advertising campaign. Never saw that first movie……..anyone see it?

Arye…………..we’ll probably go to Yellowstone after we get back from Raleigh….so…..by Memorial Day weekend, I guess. No, we cannot get close to the babies………you do NOT want to get anywhere near a bison……they are extremely dangerous. We use the telephoto lens and get real close that way. If I get a chance before this trip, I’ll email some shots from last year.
Bill……thanks for the weather update. That is one thing that I don’t like, and that’s the humidity. Don’t mind the cold, but the heat is not my friend.
Just picked up another James Patterson (NY Times)bestseller, as usual with each of his books. This one is Judge& Jury- it’s high 70’s today sooooooooo will sit out and startit and get some more tan before I go back up to my summerseasonal cottage in NY on Lake Ontario in middle May.
