Pregnant women can have their hair dyed after the 1st trimester. It would take a lot longer than 12 weeks for a full head of hair to grow out if it has been dyed.
I hope that the news it is too soon to tell is the gender. Not to be mean (about a fictional character) but Charlene gained all that weight over Christmas, which means even in comic strip time she must be several months pregnant. Unless she really did get fat and is now pregnant, which doesn’t make any sense given the way the storyline is being handled. (And why on earth does any of this matter to me?)

Why did Charlene’s hair darken along with the weight gain? I thought she was blond, a really light blond.
