To each his own. This arc had me confused (which often happens with this strip – it has many Arlo & Janus moments for me) but I laughed out loud this morning; sometimes a taste of the absurd is a good thing. Snoopy had his Red Baron and Omar has his benighted, bizarre, killer cult.
FWIW I’ve really been enjoying this arc. It’s a totally new direction for the strip and quite refreshing. Plus Omar is one of my favorite characters so it’s fun to see the focus on him for a change.
It’s going to be hard for anything to make me NOT like this strip so I’ve found this to be quite entertaining. Personally, I’m hoping that Lani will stay part of the story and the weirdness that is Hurricane Omar continues apace! ;)
I think of this strip like Rex Morgan or Prince Valiant. Sometimes humorous. but its the stories and the people in them that keep me. No matter how strange those storylines. .and some have been not only strange – but way outside the box.

So he was really going to poison all four of them? Oh well, the best laid plans …. Poor Omar.

Omar has just bit off more then he could chew. Hope he can stomach it.

This arc stopped being funny on about the second day. Problem is it doesn’t make up in wisdom or meaning what it lacks in humor.

And here I was all ready for this to be her extended, belated April Fools prank. Now she’s just a mad fool.
