Good morning, vagabonds. The vote for mayor and councilperson in North Miami did not yield a majority so I just mailed in my absentee ballot. The envelope looked heavy, so I bought it to the PO to be weighed and surprise! it needed a regular stamp. Also, for the first time, I mailed my niece a DVD in a special box made for DVDs.
The main PO in the Bronx was the same PO where Son of Sam worked. Do you remember him? Years ago, when I was there, I asked an employee what it was like working with him. I was told that he used to walk the ladies in the night shift to their cars because they were afraid of Son of Sam and boy did they freak out when it turned out that he was Son of Sam!
We got an early start this a.m. by hitting the Farmer’s Market so we could get some more tomato seedlings. Picked up 8 Roma tomatoes. They are the best for sauces and all. You have to get there early, because the cheaper plants get sold out.
David, that was a darling video! She is just precious! Thanks for sharing your family with us.
Good morning, Vagabonds. I slept most of yesterday. Today I’m going to an early afternoon party in queens. It’s my friend’s 77th birthday. Since he’s such a clutter bug (you can’t walk 2 feet into his well-situated Manhattan apartment because of all the junk mail and papers) the birthday will be at his girl friend’s home. At every party where he is present I love to announce that the next party will be at his home.
Morning, Vagabonds.Today we go to Houston for Annual Conference. This is my going away conference. On Tuesday we will have the Retirement Service, followed by the Retiree’s Luncheon.
Good day everybody..We may have made it through the rain with out the need of an ark..Well David, you pass the mantle to the new ordains and may God bless..ttfn
Another day when the weather can’t make up it’s mind what’s going to do. First we have rain, then the sun starts to come, then it rains again, then the sun comes out. Temp about 60. Picked up my tomato plants Fri. from a friend who starts them from seed. Now if we will only get some good weather to be able to plant them. The only thing that likes this weather is the sugar snap peas and I have to stop the squirrels from digging in the containers.
