GW Bush set an interesting precedent by attacking Iraq before they had any nuclear program and making it clear that if they HAD nukes, he wouldn’t attack them. Of course countries that don’t want to be attacked want nukes — and try to get them through a secret program. They think the equation is no nukes = vulnerable
onguard hates Obama more than he cares about facts, and his comment only makes sense in that context. It should be noted that it was Cheney who insisted “we don’t negotiate with evil” and abandoned the diplomatic efforts that Clinton had used to keep North Korea from going nuclear. Now he’s giving Republicans in congress advice about what to do. Let’s hope they give HIM advice about where to go. North Korea went nuclear on his watch, with his encouragement.
Over the years there have been many episodes of armed conflict between North Korea and China. It is also an uneasy border as well as the North and South Korean border.
So, what we seem to have from the wingnuts here is a desire for a pre-emptive nuclear strike. Just like what they are accusing the North Koreans of doing. Do you get the fallacy there, nut jobs?
We already know that Israel has at least 40 nukes with accurate delivery systems. If Iran were to launch even one such weapon at Israel, millions would indeed die. But Iran would become a radioactive slag heap in return. Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) is still a very viable policy even with fanatics. If it were not, do you actually think that any city in the US would not have been nuked by now. Even well financed (another good reason to become energy independent of the Middle East) terrorist groups can well afford small nukes these days, but we know that any such attack would result in the hunting down and destruction of any such groups, even if it did not claim responsibility. And even fanatics know that the entire destruction of their own group does not work well for their cause. Just because you are fanatical, does not mean you are necessarily stupid also!!
Doesn’t Kim know that if he nukes S.Korea, the fallout and radiation won’t stay south of the DMZ?I wish the could have piece and Hanguk a whole country again.

If that is all of Iran’s ambition, then that country is even in more muck that reasonable people of the world originally suspected they were!!
