Rena: You love having a family, don't you?
Val: I can't imagine life without them.
Kids: HEY?! OW!! @*!!#?
CRASH!
Val: Although occasionally I like to try.
Personally, I would love to have Val’s problems. I know I won’t always feel that way when it actually happens for me but I am looking forward to those days when I can say to myself, “I wanted this?!”
For me and my husband we only had two now adults. I like to have 3rd or 4th but he did not. Now 32 years later no grandchildren and no empty nest. Lonesome time. And I gave up a job for just two.I have been busy with on-line class. I’m not taking student loan. My husband has been paying for the classes. I have passed one of the subjects waiting for the other. So Holly you need to step it up in class and make better of yourself and stop fighting with your sister.
I love to have visits from my 3 sons; daughter only visits to sunbathe but they look for ways to help me around the house. My man has not chosen to visit here yet and does not plan to retire because he has such a large and loyal customer base. I have too much invested in my house to leave here and I think I would overwhelm him if I moved back.
I’m the “acting grandma” of my neighborhood. Neighbors come and go and I’m fine with all of them and the kids used to visit mostly with my birds, but I like having them around, so there is often a group around my front yard (especially in the cooler weather which draws me out there to read and listen to the birds).

Whenever I’m in a place with kids I’m always so happy I don’t have them! I enjoy my peace and quiet!
