I think there is a booster seat,, they just happen to have coloured it the same colour as her pants.

Tis a cartoon … so the table was ‘lowered’ or the chair ‘raised’ … to make it easier on Lynn.

Wrong. Schulz gave Lynn credit for leftunders in a book.

Actually, I read it as Shultz admiring Lynn’s comment.

    YMMV, I suppose …

@howtheduck: Here’s what Schulz said in the Foreword to The Last Straw, included in the book link from my prior comment:

Foreword   The comic pages needed LynnJohnston. They needed someone withher distinctive approach.   I have noticed lately that a lot of theso-called gags in some of our newerstrips are virtually interchangeable. NotLynn’s. Her ideas match her characters. She can draw, too. She can drawtelephones, dentists’ chairs, fat ladiesskinny ladies, dogs, trumpets, kids, anddresser drawers. She can also coinphrases like “leftunders” for “leftovers.”And she isn’t afraid of sadness, as whenLizzie became ill.   The comic pages needed LynnJohnston — she arrived justin time.                        Charles M. Schulz                        Creator of PeanutsThis strip was originally published June 12, 1984, a day short of 29 years ago. You say leftunders didn’t originate with her, but to me coin a phrase (as Schulz claims) means originate. But no one said she originated leftunders (though I think there’s a good chance she did). I only refuted your unsubstantiated claim that she borrowed (i.e., stole) it from Schulz. Hopefully, that’s now been put to rest.

My favorite made-up phrase in this strip was when everyone set out all the leftovers and stuff from the fridge and cupboards for, as it’s put, Snordasborg.
