    Oh…. I didn’t think of other paintings….

    But (especially if you don’t care for American mustard)…one really tasty painting sandwiched into that gallery is Manet’s “Dijon sur les herbes.”

    This represents the aging into vegetables of the American Gothic couple – sort of a combination with “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. This is considered a work of classic Gothic fiction with a strong Faustian theme. If it didn’t migrate into garlic, nobody could stand the smell!
