Jiffy Pop was store-bought. We just put 3 tablespoons of oil and a quarter cup of corn in a large pot. After the first two kernels popped, put on the lid and shake the pan until the popping stopped. That’s still how I make it and my grandkids and great-grandkids are amazed. Of course, I also make my ice cubes from scratch, which astounds them! (No icemaker on our fridge.)

The world’s worst popcorn is made in one of those hot air poppers, it tastes like styrofoam unless you drench it with melted butter. I make mine the same way as Dani Rice.

@Dani Rice, and it’s much healthier! So many chemicals in those microwave bags!

I remember Jiffy Pop, it was fun to make. Another thing we enjoyed was Shake a Pudding, those were fun and delicious. Too bad it’s not around anymore.

Jiffy Pop probably tastes better anyway (I wouldn’t know, can’t say I’ve ever had the chance to have some). Microwave popcorn’s taste doesn’t go far. Kettle corn is greatly superior.
