If they want to cut welfare, why not start with the corporations [subsidies]?

“http://www.imore.com/apple-already-pays-1-out-every-40-tax-dollars-us-collects-how-much-more-does-senate-want”That is an irrelevant comparison. How much do they pay in comparison to their income?

Steve Breen needs to read what Harleyquinn posted and put out THAT as a cartoon.

How idiotic and hypocritical of congress to go after a big taxpayer when companies like GE don’t pay any!

No wonder the congressional approval rating is lower than pig manure. At least pig manure can be used for fertilizer …

Mussolini once said that Fascism should actually be called Corporatism. In the United States, Corporations are now also people. Any corporation that has enough profits to donate to political campaigns should not need to be subsidized by the gov’t they are helping to elect. The tax code needs to be simplified and loopholes closed, but I do not believe our current batch of legislators can agree on how or even IF to do it.Respectfully,C.

OK, so apple pays $1 out of every $40 CORPORATIONS pay. So if the IRS collects a total of $40 from corporations every year, Apple pays $1.Statistics can be tricky and deceptive – in the right hands…

If Apple feels they are paying too much in taxes, it is probably because they are also paying taxes in the countries they actually manufacture in, as well as tariffs and sales taxes on parts they import to their manufacturing facilities. Perhaps it would be better if they moved all manufacturing to the US. The savings in international taxes would offset the need to pay higher wages, as well as help improve the economy here.

Corporate taxes are added to the cost of the products so that the people don’t discover the true cost of their government.

The point the Apple chief made was that what they did was perfectly legal, which is why corporate tax law in the U.S. needs to CHANGE so that companies DO have to pay taxes, and employ Americans. Apple is actually working on the latter, it’s up to Congress to re-write the tax codes… (btw, 99% of tax codes are EXEMPTIONS that Congresspersons have written into the “codes”.)

Before any liberals out there bash Apple allow me to ask you personally one question. Last April 15 did you take even one penny deduction for interest you paid on your home, or a child deduction or a health expense deduction etc etc If you did then you did exactly what Apple did. They simply obeyed the tax law as written by Congress and signed by the President. They took legal deductions exactly the same as you. Why fault them for obeying the law? Even the liberal Senators had to admit they did nothing wrong.
