All the news that’s fit to tweet.

Might have been Facebook. But it could have been GoComics.

Newspaper’s last stand?

But it’s on the Internet. They can’t put anything up there that isn’t true…. Can they ?

Yes….. you could get caught in a net or in a web of deception….I remember hearing something about how the internets are a set of tubas….

The Internet lets us communicate with the whole world.And prove how little we know.

I like the internet news. I usually only need to surf 4 or 5 sites before I find someone that I agree with.

It deserves repeating: “I don’t always watch Fox News, but when I do……..it’s on Comedy Central.”

Too close to the hydrant. Restricting access to the flow is punishable under law. I guess they aren’t as Progressive as they thought.

As long as I only go to some of the major mainstream “papers” I think I can trust most of what I see. My Favorites are categorized by region.

But I do avoid Fox.

You can say anything on the net, but if you try to lie in a paper the presses jam and crash…

I get all the correct facts from Facebook.

At least if you believe every “quote” ever made on the internet :).Basicly you can say information on the internet is like science theories – you need it verified and tested by a couple of extra sources to make sure its right.

If that was true, I would have never entered EndTown

I think all OBUMERS get there news from Comedy central. LOL LOL

Anytime you have a marketing personel on the editoral board the facts become skewed.

They print or show all the news that’s fit to spin.And NUMBER SIXare you getting “dizzy” yet??

I live in a city of over 500,000. We have no media-no newspaper or radio station. No wonder we’re stupid and gullible.

On the plus side of the internet news/facts controversy, is that if you are really interested in a particular story, you can research it at lot faster on the net and by doing due diligence, come out with pretty well rounded opinion.I also love the ease with which I can thoroughly, and relatively quickly, research a topic. There is excellent source material out there. You just have to look for it.Politics ? Like many of the commentators, I rely on Comedy Central – The Daily Show and Steve Colbert Report are really all I need for my daily dose of weirdness.

Fark.com, or Total Fark more particularly, is my daughter’s main conduit to the news.

Excellent post! For the comedy, I would add Yahoo News as well.

The great irony is that the Internet is both the best and worst source of objective, unbiased news. The problem is the signal-to-noise ratio is so abysmal it’s hard to tell the unvarnished truth from spin.

Wiley,So I take it you are just making fun of the newspaper news versus internet news? Some of us get it. All news is spun in some fashion even if you see it happening because unless you are there from start to finish you really don’t know totally what happened. Like blind men examining an elephant each has a different perspective of the same animal.

If this is true then why have all those newspapers ceased print and gone online over the last few years….I for one used to read my comics from paper NEWSPAPERS……Don’t bite the hand that feeds you Wiley!

Who cares? All media is owned and controlled by four major corporations throughout this country anyway… It has to be true. I saw it on the Internet. Internet = true QED.

And I read, somewhere, that 9 out of 10 surveys are bogus.
