I have confronted such fears myself.

Fear of running out of chocolate, fear of being stuck in the house all day, fear of actually having to use the off-brand mayonnaise I bought on sale last October…all solved in one quick trip to Target!

Of course, I didn’t actually have to DO the things I was afraid of…I had to find a way to circumvent them.

    Working smarter counts too!

And now I’m very afraid that the chocolate will taste horrible…

I shall force myself to eat some, and confront my unreasonable terror.

I love the word bandangoed! I have a very real fear of spiders, don’t see myself conquering that one or my fear of public speaking.

Not as much fun as when she grabbed the board with her nose, but OK.

Trout, dear friend, fears don’t have to be reasonable or of real things, (For example some are afraid of vampires when in fact the ghosts snuck up on them and killed them all.)

I have tried to embrace my fear of spiders. There is a 2 foot novelty spider at my work desk. (the legs span far more than 2 feet). Large novelty spiders don’t do the trick. ….. Dark chocolate on the other hand…… hmmmm, I just bought some….. It must be time for comfort food! I have been speaking of spiders, now I must comfort myself..It is Chocolate Time!
