Good morning, Vagabonds. My plans seem to be in the process of changing: My new Turkish friend who lives in New York was offered a job in California, so he can’t go to Miami with his Azeri friend and myself. Even if he could, he would have to pay $1500 to rent a car since he’s only 24. I myself can manage in Miami without a car in spite of the slow public transportation, but our Azeri friend wants to visit colleges to decide where to study interior design (now he is an architect). I do not drive – if I did, no one would be safe on the roads – at least I admit it.
I suggested to my Azeri friend (who still hasn’t bought his ticket to NY yet) that he go to California with his friend to look into colleges there. But the idea of going to my condo in Miami for 2 weeks has gotten a hold of me: i love my SWIMMING pool there. And I want to return to New York by August to see the ethnic parades here and in case there’s a hurricane in Miami. Also a friend from Miami plans to visit me in NY between Aug. 2 and 4, while returning from Japan.
Good morning to all.Hard to believe that we are starting the second week of July. Next thing we know is that we will be getting out the winter coats.Sweetbill: I never thought of the drones, our government working for us. LOL
Howdy Vagabonds..Gentlemen, I am in no hurry to see the winter come, and as much as I love the fair, I’m in no hurry to see it come, because winter is always right behind it..It’s a rather sticky morning, temps are creeping up. Keep the fan close..Hi to those not here yet. Have fun..ttfn
Mt. Charleston is on fire (our only snowy peak, and then only in the winter). Good thing we are getting a little rain right now! It is only about 15 miles away from the strip.
