Glen Greenwald went out of his way to make it look as if the NSA is listening into every single conversation and internet exchange by all Americans. Add to this with a corporate media that is absolutely desperate to have a White House scandal for ratings that would otherwise sag during the summer and to reenforce the whole 2nd term of scandal narrative they’ve been pushing since last November. What your with left is a toxic mix that doesn’t serve the public interest and only serves to increase cynicism. ’Of course Glen Greenwald, who supported the Patriot Act, George W. Bush and the Iraq war at the time, did all this to advance the cause he holds dear, Glen Greenwald. The reality that the Washington Post had to retract major parts of the article is immaterial.
