Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday I went to Target. I had to take 3 buses and waited a long time for the first bus. The 2nd bus was so crowded, I decided to wait for a less-crowded bus. The prices at Target’s shelves were different than the prices at the cashier. Very annoying.
Arye, I have never taken public transit. A new neighbor friend has described to me how he takes the bus from place to place and he knows all of the stop locations and times. I’ve found this interesting and hope to take the but around our small city. I think he said it costs a dime or a quarter to ride so its more for the community rather than profit.
Good morning to all.I would like to ask you to pray for my wife who will be having partial hip replacement surgery sometime today. She tripped at prayer meeting Tues. night and broke her left hip. I am leaving now to go to the hospital now to see her.Thank you
@Woodworker318: My prayers are with your wife. I have had the same hip replaced 3 times over a 30 year period. Please make sure that the operation will result in both legs being of equal length so she won’t be limping.
Thank you all for your prayers. The operation has been postponed until tomorrow at 12 noon because of her blood INR being too high. Hopefully they will get it down by then. Many thanks again.
Woodworker, I’m a little late to this, but my prayers are with you and your wife as well.
Not much to report from the Nevada desert. Heat and lowering humidity, but that’s not news here. We’re supposed to get t-storms again Friday and Saturday. I hope they aren’t quite as spectacular as last Saturday (when we lost power for a few hours). Just so you know how much rain we got in a couple of days, I had an old litter box that I had set outside to air in the sunshine. It is standard litter box size, maybe 12" by 18", but it is also 18" tall. (Due to Blaze’s propensity to “miss”.) That plastic box was FULL to within 1/2 inch of the top. It was sitting under the edge of the eaves, so part of it was runoff from the roof, but it was still a LOT of water.
Good day Vagabonds..Nice sunny day with out the heat and humidity..Arye, our TV news says NYC is buying new buses from a Plattsburgh, NY bus builder..woodworker, I hope the doctors can get your wife in for her operation tomorrow, she can’t be very comfortable right now. We keep her in our prayers.. Hey I just noticed, where’s David?.Good to hear from you Slim, Jan and that nice lady from Montana..Teh, is this your first time with us? Do make it a habit to join us in our little village..ttfn
@Arye Uygur : As to your comment about making sure that both legs are the same length, they are only replacing the ball, not the socket. This doctor is a top notch one who replaced my right knee last year so we asked if he could do it and he said yes. He and I have a good relationship together and everyone who has ever had him likes him.
