I think the issue is timing. When Obama took office the economy was in the toilet, so he pushed for Obamacare and prolonged the tanked economy with the promise of increased burden on everyone..Now approaching the middle of his 2nd term, the economy is showing signs of crawling out of that toilet and he jumps on another tactic to stall growth..It’s like being on the ground with a broken leg and being treated for the common cold..Good thing (VERY good thing), bad timing.

… he said as he uses electricity from coal, nuclear, or natural gas; and drives a car that burns oil taken from the ground.

    Hypocrite!

The HOUSE? From under what rock did you just crawl? You must still have on your ‘hope and change’ glasses that don’t let you see the TRUTH!

I am so glad Obama is trying to look out after the planet. Our country has spent more on fossil fuel than any other. The big business oil and gas had started to put money into cleaner, safer fuel, but have reduced their spending to alternative energy. One of them, Shell, I think, is selling off their 3 $billion wind energy farm. Most of the rest of the world are far more advanced in that area. Look at what Germany has done, they are well on the way to a better way. The tar sand pipeline will go over a huge aquifer, when drinking water is destroyed it is not just humans that lose, any livestock will too.Our next big problem will be a shortage of water. The fracking takes a a huge amount of water too. Some states have already had water shortages, and Texas buys water from Mexico. Think about what you want to live without.

they would probably like to Thank him for fighting against Those who are actively speeding up that kind of conditions and weather in the world. Does anyone really think brave Firefighters would applaud those who prefer to trash the earth for their own personal gain??That is a tragedy. It should not enter into political arguments.

And the Ohio legislature just passed a rider to the budget allowing any energy company to charge it’s customers for cleanup costs. Oops! They only meant to let CERTAIN companies do that, but it was a “Staff miscommunication” that allowed the provision to get in the bill.; That miscommunication was supposed to be :Save it for later!"

so you want your buddies and yourself to take your guns and overthrow the government? That used to be called treason.making sure the wealthyest 1% can keep on hauling in billions of $$ by trashing our country’s aquifers, fouling the air, and water causing other physical damage is something to overthrow the government. People like you make me afraid that if one of you do get in office that you will turn a democratic republic into a 1 party system, (a dictatorship) or a theocracy, where everyone who isn’t a Christian is a criminal or unacceptable, that is something that concerns me. That you folks see nothing of the over 200 good things that Obama has gotten right, focusing Only on things he goofed on.He goofed in not charging Bush and Cheney as the rest of the world see it; as war criminals. and for re-newing the patriot act, in which we gave up so many rights. That is when we “stopped” minding whether or not we had the government spying on our phones, and the other rights too.

The House can and has blocked everything the president has tried to get done, by their endless filibusters.even bills the GOP wanted, as soon as Obama agreed with them, they turned against their very own bills. they banded together to make Obama fail since before he even was inaugurated. NEVER waited to see what he would do, or how he did things. So Yes, the house if they try hard enough can have more power than the president!
