So what is this – more racist riot-mongering? I’m guessing that Alcatraz is enraged that Mr Zimmerman isn’t going to be executed for defending himself from that scumbag Trayvon. Cheer up, Alcatraz – your racist buddies are already rioting and threatening to murder Mr Zimmerman, the jurors, the defense lawyers, and everyone else they can think of.

The court has spoken, and whether right or wrong the decision should now be respected. I personally do not agree that Zimmerman should not be punished for what he did, but if that is the decision, so be it.One of the problems with prosecuting a case is the jury is only allowed to debate and take into consideration what has been presented, as it is presented in the courtroom. Zimmerman and Martin’s previous lives or actions are to have no bearing on the decision, unless it can be proven Zimmerman is a sociopath likely to repeat his actions. They are also not allowed to consider the consequences of the precedent set by their decision. If a higher court determines that letting Zimmerman go free sets a precedent that makes it to difficult to prosecute vigilante slayings, it can be changed there, but Zimmerman himself cannot be charged again for the same crime (double jeopardy). I hope no one tries to test the boundaries of this decision by committing a similar killing, believing they will be acquitted if the scene throws reasonable doubt as to the gunman’s intentions. But name one law or loophole in this country that has never been exploited for someone’s personal gain.

it is florida. they couldn’t get casey anthony guilty on murdering her own kid. plus, they seem to like to arrest kids especially 6 year olds for kissing.

On reflection, arrested a girl who’d recently reached age of “maturity” for shooting her boyfriend to death, five rounds in the back of the head. Prosecuting authorities let her go on simple manslaughter as they labeled it “self defense”. Turns out two things found out later, “Daddy” was a very rich lawyer, and the girl had killed TWO boyfriends as a juvenile, and she never served time!

Juries, not just defense or prosecutors, are often the threat to “justice”, but it’s the risk we DO take in a democracy where “jury of your peers”, isn’t always so, or jury of the sane.

BTW, if Rodney King had been shot while he was violently choking out a deputy, instead of being beaten and arrested, the case never would have been a media sensation, and seventy-odd people wouldn’t have died in rioting. “Crazy stupid” works many ways.

I don’t recall a lot of tears, vigils, rallies, and protests among blacks when O.J. was found not guilty after slaughtering two innocent white people. Alcaraz and his buddies out rioting in the streets must have felt that the justice system was working back then.

It sets a bad precedence. This verdict says it is legal to racially profile, stalk and kill a black youth. Travon Martin’s only crime was walking down the street while being black.

The ethnos of of Zimmerman may have been Hispanic, but since a Supreme Court decision in 1940, Hispanics are legally white and therefore, in the South, have the right to kill “Negros” (cleaned from the traditional term). Zimmerman sounds German to me. Maybe it comes from the German takeover of training the Mexican army and federal police following WW-I.

I originally commented about Zimmerman’s disobeying a police order to stay in his car and stalking on foot, but it got deleted, thus my earlier comment about delete button malfunction.
