As a resident of VA, the choice between McAullife and Cuccinelli as our next Governor is painful. The Democrat is unremarkable and the Republican wants to cover the chest of the woman on our state flag, end abortion, ban gay marriage, stop healthcare, enact the kind of voting reform we are seeing in Texas and North Carolina, cut taxes for the wealthy, and permit off shore drilling for oil. That last is the ONLY job program of which I’ve heard. Cuccinelli also took gifts from the same company from which McDonnell did. These guys make Gilmore, our last Republican governor, look like a Democrat, and I would actually prefer Gilmore to McAullife.I want a politician I can vote for, not another one to vote against.Sadly,C.
Mr. McDonnell has repaid his loans after weeks of hounding by the media. He has not returned the Rolex, the gifts that came with the New York spending spree for his wife, or the money given to his daughters for their respective weddings. I’m sure Mr. Cuccinelli is no longer interested in having Mr. McDonnell campaign for him, but the national stage often ignores state pecadillos. It will be interesting to see if Mr. McDonnell pursues his ambition to go higher hoping no one will notice his past or if he will be happy he’s gotten this far.
