Thank you my many friends. Lot of names I haven’t seen in some time. Thanks for stopping by for a bit.And I’m with SWEETBILL on this. Glad to know you are okay., Chris Smith. I check NOAA every night, some times during the day, and I know there has been a lot of nasty weather in your neighborhood.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

First, let me say it was very good to hear from Chris and Florchi. Stop by more often!

Counted up the number of days we had heat over 90 degrees this summer………….21……………(last summer we had 20 days). And, none were triple digits. I can handle this!

And a moment of prayer for those 2977 who lost their lives 12 years ago today. And, especially their families!

Good Morning Everyone..Thank you all for your concern. Last October my father passed away from Parkinson’s/Dementia. It was a very rough time and it left me depressed. Unfortunately that meant that I withdrew. But it is now time to put that behind me and get involved in life again. I have been reading your comments sporadically this last year and am now ready to rejoin the community. :).The weather has definitely been extreme. The beginning of August we had floods that destroyed 97 homes and damaged another 150+ homes. And by the end of August we were back into drought, no rain in 4 weeks. My home is at the top of the hill and was not effected. But several of my friends were in the flood zone and experienced damage..Well, I have a busy day ahead of me and need to get started. I will be back tomorrow. :)

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

    Welcome back, Chris.

Sweetbill, to answer your question of yesterday, I don’t know yet. On a clear day, we can see the buildings of the strip from the park across the street, but not from our house due to the neighbor’s houses being in the way. We haven’t had a clear day for about a week because of the monsoon rains. I will let you know.

The nice thing about all this rain is that the temperature stays down. The bad thing about it is the humidity in the 60’s all the time. Aaaaannnnnd…….the rain just started again. It makes a lot of racket on my patio roof. Not a breath of wind this time, though.

Rita, we’ve had more than 40 days in triple digits between Memorial Day and Labor Day. That means the local literacy project got more than $4000 from our local ABC affiliate. Pretty slick!
