Last week I saw my pulmonary doctor, Okay, come back in six months.Today I saw the cardiologist. Okay, come back in three or four months.Guess I’m doing all right?Social life looking up, too. Picnic with a friend and her two little girls, two years old and five years. Saturday I am invited for a private party, with music and a lot of my musician friends. I’m going.

Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday my Turkish-Azeri house guest tried to teach me chess. It sounds conplicaated with each piece moving in a different pattern. I was absolutely stymied and didn’t enjoy the game, although I like games with strategies, such as Scrabble. Learning chess moves is tough if you’re used to checkers and Chinese checkers.

Morning, Vagabonds. We’ll be heading for Houston later this morning to pick up our German girls at the airport.

@Slim – Sounds like you’re in pretty good health if the docs say come back in several months. And have fun at your party.

@Arye – Chess really is a fascinating game, but playing against an experienced player can be really frustrating. They will get you at every move and make you feel really stupid. You need to practice with another beginner or play against a computer program that allows you to set the skill level. Give the game a chance. I think you’ll like it. And it’s absolutely nothing like Checkers or Chinese Checkers.

Hi oh Vagabonds..The very low 40s this am, yesterday it was 34 out doors..Some color in the trees not a lot just tinges here and there. The Vernal Equinox is on Sunday..I learned to play Chess where I was still in grade school. David’s advice is sound, never play against someone who can checkmate you in less then ten moves. ;-).Good news Slim, and have a nice picnic..Have fun with your friends David..Howdy all who ain’t here yet..ttfn

Good morning Vagabonds.Didn’t get to log on yesterday as my sister’s funeral was yesterday.Glad to hear the good news your doctors gave you Slim. Much better than come back next week.Has been chilly the past two nights. Had to turn on the heat the other day as my wife has been very cold. The days have been nice though.

Good Morning Vagabonds..Today is starting out cool and wet and turning hot and humid by this afternoon..Slim: Congrats on the good news. You must be doing things right if your next appointments are months away. Enjoy your evening picnic!.Arye: My husband once tried to teach me chess. I accidently beat him and never got a second lesson! :).Everyone have a great day! I am on my way to a lunchtime bible study. We have a great time, a good lunch, and we learn.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Great news Slim! Keep it up.

Arye, I know how to play chess, but I am rotten at visualizing moves ahead, so I don’t enjoy the game. My husband, on the other hand, loves it and is sooooo disappointed that I won’t play with him.

Chris, I too am on my way to bible study. Catch you all on the flip side.
