Actually, I got a generous voucher as recently as 1987 when my flight got delayed in an ice storm. I didn’t have to spend the night away from home, but didn’t get home until about 1AM, and had a delightful party in the airport—lol—
As RECENTLY as 1987? I guess the older we get the more recent 26 years seems.
