I love how people who take Reverend Sharpton to task ignore the excesses of Limbaugh, Beck, O’Reilly and Hannity. But then these are the same people who ignored the danger of the Patriot Act until a Democrat was in office. Should have acted sooner, boys and girls. It takes more effort to get your rights back then it does to protect them.

Just because you and a bunch of shrill liberal politicians and media say it’s so doesn’t make it true.

Zimmerman shouldn’t have been arrested. There was an abundance of “reasonable doubt” in that case. That’s why the police and the prosecutor didn’t arrest him in the first place. They knew they would, and should, lose the case had they tried. As we see even when forced by political pressure from the liberals and race baiters (Sharpton and Jackson, etc) they still lost. So why did we waste the money on a trial? Our system is supposed to let 10 guilty people free rather than put 1 innocent person in jail.

Personally I think Martin Luther King would be a Republican today, that’s just my opinion. I’m paraphrasing him here “People should be judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” That is what I believe also. Read it carefully, most people seem to think it means something it doesn’t. That is what most conservatives also believe. We couldn’t care less what color your skin is. We are far more interested in your character, what you do when faced with a difficult decision and no one else is looking. It is the liberals that always seem to divide people by race. It’s the first thing they see, and they immediately judge the person based on it. Start paying attention to it and you’ll see I’m right. Who is it that says the black man is “betraying his race” by being a conservative republican? As a conservative I see him as just a man that made an informed decision. It’s an afterthought that he must be a brave man to do what he thinks is right knowing he will be hated for it.The way we see it the “stand your ground” law saves lives because the criminals know that any given person may be armed and defend himself with deadly force. Knowing this should make the criminal more afraid to commit the crime in the first place. Because of this fewer people will be attacked in the first place. Take a look at the gun violence rates in the cities with the tightest gun laws… They also have the highest gun crime because the criminals know that they will meet little resistance from the populace because the law abiding citizens are all unarmed. Chicago’s gun casualty rate is higher than our militaries in Afghanistan, worse than an active war zone! Chicago also has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. Is it helping? Obviously not. Where do all the mass shootings happen? In gun free zones. They know they have a target rich environment and there is no one there to stop them.I understand liberalism’s pull. It makes you feel like you are helping and making things better with good intentions. As conservatives we are more interested in results. Good intentions often have very bad side effects if the idea isn’t fully thought through. You know the old saying: The pathway to hell is paved with good intentions.

Wow, you can’t even tell the media is mostly liberal? You need to pay more attention. You are hearing liberalism all the time, maybe that’s why you are a liberal. I guess you can’t be blamed for thinking that way if that’s where you get all your information. I seem to remember a poll of news media some time ago, if I remember right more than 90% voted for Obama and I think it was nearly 80% identified themselves as liberal. I wish I had kept a copy of that. Try actually listening to Rush regularly for about 2 months. You will hate him at first, you’ll yell at your radio and swear he’s lying. But if you actually follow up and try to catch him in a lie, you won’t. You’ll start to realize he’s right. You may not agree with his ideology, at least at first, buy you’ll understand all the stuff said about him by the left is totally false. Toward the end of that 2 months, you’ll be amazed at what the main stream media doesn’t report, or only partially reports to give a liberal spin. You’ll also probably start to enjoy his show and keep listening.

Tell me what about what I said to you is BS? I did some research to make sure I was correct and I did get one thing wrong it looks like. A majority of Democrats did vote for the Civil rights act, however a higher percentage of Republicans voted for it. 61% of Democrats voted for it. 80% of Republicans voted for it. As for the “Southern Strategy”. I had heard the term, but didn’t know much about it so I did a little research, by no means exhaustive. It looks to me like the “States Rights” beliefs of the Republican Party and Nixon in particular was twisted by the media and Democrats to try to say Republicans wanted to allow states to continue segregation as was popular in the Southern Democrats at the time. Many southern Democrats were pushing States Rights to ignore federal desegregation laws at the time. I don’t believe a majority of Republicans ever favored segregation. Republicans are for States rights for many reasons, we believe the federal government was never meant to be as powerful as it has become. Republicans have historically been for individual freedom (though I will admit many subjugate some freedom to their religious beliefs) and individual achievement. It makes no difference what color the individual’s skin is. It does matter what a person’s character is. Yes, that is a reference to Martin Luther King’s famous speech. Most of us very much believe in that. Sadly, Democrats and the media have been calling Republicans racists for so long I’m sure many racists think they are welcome in the Republican party and have joined it. Go look up what I said. It’s true. I’m sure it’s mindboggling if you’ve lived all your life believing the Democrat Party line, but the fact it’s all just propaganda force fed to us all by the left.
