It’s also tiresome when the religious right in America wants to run the Middle East, and doesn’t have a clue that said “Arabs” and “Persians” represent a minority of Muslims. So we’re going to war with Indonesia next? They DO have oil!

We haven’t been able to pacify Iraq or Afghanistan… yet you think the top heavy, inefficient bureaucracies that ran Germany & the Soviet Union would do better? The cost would have run both regimes into the ground.

Then they pillaged the Byzantines who asked them to help recapture the Levant. All in the name of religion.
