But now it will be fair and just. No longer will random people of means be given superior care. Now only important government officials and powerful people of means will be given superior care. Yay!

They probably did leave better lives than the average person, however, their point is a valid one. Maybe they felt overly taxed? I certainly do. Just what makes them hypocrites? Because you disagree with them?

@perkycatThat’s NOT the point of the cartoon. If there were no caption underneath that might be the meaning, but the caption clearly makes this cartoon about the greed of insurance companies.

Y’know, all you guys are convincing me here is that there are some serious problems in society, and it’s not just limited to politics and insurance companies…

coraryan: You still living back in the ‘50s with Tail Gunner Joe? According to you, only communists care about their citizens. Sorry, I missed the experience, but several people I know and trust didn’t and they didn’t think it was so great. I have lived under both capitalism and socialism, and if those are my only two choices, I would have to choose democratic socialism. A healthy citizenry is considered to be in the national interest, and fewer people die of neglect because the rich demand more. Then too, it might raise the quality of discussion if you would actually find out what communism, socialism, conservatism, etc. really are instead of being a ditto head.

@hippogriffI’m going to assume based on your statement you don’t live in the US. If you did, your statement would not make any sense because if you believed what you said, why would you live in the US?
