I thought the GOP never met a war it didn’t like. Thank God they DON’T like this one. Now Obama needs to stop listening to Kerry and think about how the American people and the whole International community are against this!!

AOL did an unscientific survey and 70% of AOL users voted against war.

We haven’t had a “good” war, at least with real justification, since WW II. (Korea was a “police action” and there WAS and actual invasion by the north, and there is still no actual “peace treaty”, only a cease fire.)

“Humanitarian” actions, that kill additional people, aren’t as humanitarian, even if killing FEWER people, than diplomatic solutions. Hmm, Iran/Contra was also about a civill war, and Reagan’s side LOST that one, hmmm, Viet Nam?

Sooo, what would happen if say the UN voted to Turn Their Backs (even literally!) on Assad; NO assistance of any kind, don’t return his phone calls, total shunning, embargo. How long can he hold his breath?

Whoever said “War is Hell” underestimated War. The trick with Hell is that you KNOW its forever. With War there’s aways the need to fracture the mind so you don’t dwell on the chances of becoming a casualty. It lacks the certainty of Hell, and this, in a very real way, makes it worse.

“There is only one party in the United States, the Party of Property… and it has two right wings: Republican bull-goose loonies and Democrat Alfred E. Neumans.
