Actually, by fall, most gardeners end up with dump-truck loads of fresh tomatoes (not to mention zuchinni) are are so frantic to get rid of the things, their friends start avoiding them.

I would not grow zucchini, tomatoes not so bad also tomatoes can be frozen for later use..With fall year is almost over. Since we had rain and lots of rain still need more rain, our leaves have not change to fall colors and have lots of leaves. We went through a bad 3-year draught.

Yea, but now it’s time for apple dumplings and baked goods made with pumpkin. Yum!

In this season in Japan, hot chestnuts are sold at train stations, persimmons are ripe on trees, and a sweet potato man cruises through every neighborhood advertising his steaming hot treats by loud speakers late into the night.

I will miss fresh blackberries, but I made some jam. Yes, tomatoes, too. I freeze them, so I can use them in soup. And I freeze grated zucchini for z. bread in the winter. So, yeah, end of the season is sorta sad, but at least I will have tasty memories!

My tomato plants still have a lot of tomatoes in all stages as well as blooms. I’ll pick until there’s a hard frost.
