Whoa! Seriously deep stuff here. And so the great hiatus of ‘13 begins… Maybe the government will be back in business by the time we get back to our diminuitive friends, but maybe we’ll get lucky and Congress will realize that they are less unpopular when they do nothing at all than when they try to fix everything….. ;-)
It’s like rereading a book. Everything’s new and mysterious the first time around, and you find new meanings and new mysteries on the next pass. And the next one.So, during the hiatus, everyone go reread.
I would say that during Aaron’s sabbatical, someone posts a ton every morning starting with the beginning that we can then comment on. Many people are only aware of our community beginning with Marx but not the events leading up to the mutations. Just a thought…
Aaron – I want you to know how much I have enjoyed this strip and that I will miss it. But at the same time, I hope you enjoy your hiatus. See ya when ya get back.
Aaron, you take care of the things that you need to take care of. We will be here when you return. Not that this is some sort of threat or anything… Seriously, there is a lot of your fans who will be eagerly awaiting your return. Take care, buddy.
As an engineer who used to work on defense projects, I’m afraid to report that the sequestration has already taken its toll on the Department of Defense. The shutdown ain’t doing us any favors either.
Huh. Well you aren’t the first one to know nothing about military operation. Dunno if you can take a class on deployment logistics, but, take a class on it, or google it, something to make you spew less false information.
Sorry for feeding the troll. I have pulled that post. I knew he has an opinion on everything, and when it crossed into my field of experience, and so bad, I couldn’t tell if he is a fool or insane. I am going to continue to try to keep this strip mostly politics free, even during the hiatus. If he actually wanted truth about that topic he could have checked my previous posts at Prickly City, where I pointed out the truth of the situation and provided source citations. He passed the line from constant fool with a complete lack of critical thinking capacity, and absence of sufficient ration of logic to perform simple mathematics. However, the quality of his posts will serve to aid us when it is time to round up the insane, and move them to a farm in the country. Thank’s JusSayin that’s very sweet of you. Although I will say it’s going to be a busy hiatus for both Aaron and myself I have the e-books to do Greytones for they where lost in a computer crash. So in my absence he will be back to doing the strip solo for about a month and during the hiatus he will be trying to create a month long or more lead on the strip as well doing the e-books edits the Auctions the website and any other Endtown backlog that I may be missing.I sincerely appreciate everyones understanding through this sadly necessary hiatus. But, when the strip returns all I can say is it’s a whole new chapter of the saga and one well worth waiting for.
When I was very young, and the Batman TV show with Adam West was popular, someone put all the old Batman serials together in one film. These serials had some content, but mostly they were to get BatFans back into the theatre the following Saturday to see the next installment. It was a winning strategy then, and perhaps a behavioral economist could measure the effectiveness of Aaron’s Friday cliffhangers. Intuitively, I would think it is an excellent strategy, as the readers usually spend a little time reading the strip and admiring the storytelling and artwork, and then have 72 hours to speculate or contemplate the next installment. The reason I say Behavioral Economist over regular Behaviorists, is the first follows the money and its impact more closely, and then plots out hypotheses to be tested for programming the population.JusSayinENDTOWN AUCTION SITE VOTING LINKS:

The pyramids are one with the big concrete dams one finds across a lot of rivers. Maybe better since no water flows through or over them. They’ll last as long as there are mountains and oceans.
Well, it’s my understanding that the head of the Sphinx is a later addition (I don’t know precisely when), that the body may just possibly be the oldest human artifact on the planet, and that sand has covered it up to its chin at least for centuries at a time. (Also that the reason the nose is missing is somewhat disputed, the standard story being that some British officer shot it off with his rifle in the nineteenth century—-but it seems to have been missing earlier than that.)
“The Arab historian al-Maqrīzī, writing in the 15th century, attributes the loss of the nose to iconoclasm by Muhammad Sa’im al-Dahr, a Sufi Muslim from the khanqah of Sa’id al-Su’ada. In AD 1378, upon finding the local peasants making offerings to the Sphinx in the hope of increasing their harvest, Sa’im al-Dahr was so outraged that he destroyed the nose, and was hanged for vandalism.” From Wikipedia.#There’s a missing Pharaonic beard, too—-well, not missing, just not attatched, parts of what might be it are in the British Museum.

What Coyoty said. There will be new updates here every day, just like before, just not with the current Endtown story.
