Today’s strip touches on the reason I don’t get too exorcised about the PED issue: These guys aren’t gambling on games or throwing them outright…they’re trying to do better. Besides, if Roger Clemens served up a homer to Barry Bonds, who gets the asterisk?
They’re gambling with their health, and their actions do affect OTHER gamblers. Of course, steroids are also illegal besides being banned by sports, so now we’re talking crimes…….
