Also, there are friends, so intertwined in your life, that all that’s needed is a smile and some small token for the season. I bought the rib roast this year… :-)

The trick with giving a gift to people like Frazz is to recognize the challenge is to find something that shows that you understand and like them as they are…It doesn’t have to be much….just personal…..

BTW, RadarRecon is correct…..She got him something, we just don’t know what it is. In fact if the kid was sharper, she would have immediately asked him what it was….Caufield would have….

Perhaps I read too much Arlo & Janis but I think Jane gave him some…thing; and, he is too much of a gentleman to blab that about.

I think there’s a difference between “he asked for nothing” and “he didn’t ask for anything.” Even if you didn’t ask for anything, when asked “what did you ask for” most people would say “nothing”.
