Mrs. Godfrey lacks consistency, and for that I am troubled by her. She wouldn’t give Nate his deserved A in geography, but she held him blameless in the water fountain incident. Maybe Lincoln Peirce is trying to be realistic when I am looking for an ideal, i.e. the perfect teacher as described by the teachers’ union.

This episode’s got it all: 1) Gina exhibiting her possibly best suck-up form! 2)Nate instantly calling her up on it with possibly the best words he could muster, even given post-holiday let-down! 3)gives Gina some “popeye-eye”! 4)reels in his first detention of 2014!! I knew a VP who was proud that he gave a student 254 detentions in two years. The kid never graduated and wound up pushing a broom at minimum wage. I still don’t know why the VP was so proud of that.
