So it’s a PG-13 comic strip after all! Otherwise, the bodies, or pieces of them, would be all over the cave floor.

Must have aimed high, oh well Tarzan gets to lecture Jolly this way, then either kill him or convert him.

At that close range the projectiles would have all been well above the’ line of sight’ targets – the guns were aimed to hit a target at about 500 yards in front of a plane traveling at 400+ MPH, so the bullets would ‘drop in’ on the target, since the trajectory is an arc, not a straight line.

Or Sam is such a good shot he didn’t have to kill them so that they can face justice for killing his partner…..

Now the real trouble will begin with Tantor getting stuck in the cave entrance sealing it forever! Sam must have been shooting blanks because there are no dead pirates on the cave’s floor. Maybe Jolly Rodgers will invite Tarzan and N’kima in to share a bottle, or two of rum, some mutton legs, etc.? :)> WondersNeverCeaseAGowa!!

DON’T follow them, Tarzan. That’s the same strategic mistake King Harold’s men made at Hastings! (and Thorin in the battle of the five armies) They’ll turn and you’ll be surrounded.
