There’s also the business model of not giving the company away to the first child, excited by the delivery, who goes running into the drones’ spinning blades.

100 points if you capture the droid carrying the pizza and beer and reprogam it to pick up your next order of pizza & beer. … Leaving a note saying it will be back to pay later… It left the wallet in the other power pack.

It was a brilliant PR stunt … Bezos, aka Amazon, caught the world’s attention just before the Xmas shopping frenzy, thus getting free advertising for Amazon. But not practical – I fly a quadcopter for aerial photography, and the obstacles to use one for delivery are HUGE!

The idea of flying robots delivering things is not original with Jeff Bezos. George Lucas used the idea of a droid delivering plate glass to one of the high rises in ’the Attack of the Clones" ( apparently the Jedi go through a lot of windows). The idea of drones delivering packages my be to distract us from his < a href=“http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NANePoo_p30&list=PLwT1pq4ihKc2jF8h0XfTolW4go6LHa2ae&feature=share&index=4”>spaceship business.

I think we will see automated delivery trucks long before flying drones are secure, reliable, safe and profitable. People will shoot (or “soot”) at ANYTHING that can’t shoot back. In Australia, a nationwide contest was held to solve the problem of replacing shot-up, custom road signs in remote areas. The winning idea was to stick a mass-produced, metal target next to each sign.

Bob must work for Fox. His theories coincide with that gang of idiots. Varieties of paranoia make for soft distraction while the real emperors bankrupt the American dream.

You want crazy? In the century recently passed human beings killed between 150 and 300 million other human beings and if you think the exact number is important then you’re really crazy. This century has the potential to far surpass that.

You want crazy? In the recent presidential election we had a candidate who believed that his underwear protected him from evil spirits and that after the death of his wife and him they would be presented with their own planet; and he received millions of votes, many from people who believe science is fantasy and their fantasies are reality.

You want crazy? We have one major religion who gives people a belief system that if they strap explosives onto their bodies and blow up innocent people they’ll go directly to heaven and be presented with virgins as a reward. We have another religion that even in the year 2014 with our planet’s population at over 7 billion people, mostly poor and desperate tells them that birth control is a sin.

This is not to bum anyone out or depress you but just to state an opinion that if we don’t evolve to a higher degree of intelligence and rationality and quickly, we could be in for trouble ahead. Where does Amazon’s craziness even begin to register on that scale?

If Bob things CBS or any other network needs Jeff Bezos, drones, or anything other than their own management decisions to damage their credibility he hasn’t been watching the news.

How ironic that you should make this comment at this time… I dropped my Droid smart phone today and it broke…and since my termination of service is Jan 26th. in five days… guess what? I’m not replacing it. I’m not getting another Cell or Mobile phone. I’ll stick to my land line. If someone calls me I can screen the call. If I’m not home they can leave me a message… I might even answer. Now NSA can try and trace me on my broken phone and follow my movements on my broken phone. They probably have other ways of finding me it will just be a little harder on their part…
