If it happens it will be like television: One thousand channels and nothing worth watching is on but there are lots of anal commercials to really annoy you.
This is a case where I move towards the Socialist end of the spectrum and say that the internet should be allowed made a public utility.
This is based on -—————————————————————————————————————-. The internet has become a significant part of free speech. Has become a significant backbone for the economy in the same matter that electricity became so. Presently is limited to a few major players.. Small towns either do not get or get at ridiculously high prices. Inherently monopolistic ( Requires large start up and then rapidly deteriorates in cost) -———————————————————————————————————————
In terms of implementation I would recommend allowing it on the municipal level with grants offered to cover start up, or done at the state level.
