Yea, that’ll fix things! Bring back opium dens, sell cocaine to mothers as a sedative for their small children….Alcohol is only more damaging because of its widespread use. Allowing these other drugs to be used widely will increase their issues and problems commensurately too.
Fifty years ago, we were told that grass was dangerous, so we passed laws protecting people from its’ effects. People smoked it anyway. At this point, I have friends who have smoked two or three times a week, some who smoke every day. And, they are fine. After thirty- forty- fifty years of regular grass smoking, they are fine.I loved Willie Nelson’s reaction to the statistics, don’t remember them exactly, but hundreds of thousands of people die each year from alcohol and from tobacco, but no one has ever died from weed. It isn’t possible to overdose on it, you fall asleep first. Willie’s response: “Well, I did have a friend who was injured when a bale fell on him.”Meanwhile, we have bars and liquor stores all over the place pushing the stuff that actually does kill people, and our jails are overcrowded with people who are there for selling something that is harmless. It’s way past time to admit that the laws are stupid, based on incorrect information, make Marijuana legal, sell it at 7-11, and release anyone who is in jail for selling it and make room for actual criminals.

Tobacco will kill you eventually. Alcohol can kill you much faster – right away, in fact, depending on what you do after you drink it.

Portugal in 2001 removed penalties for individuals, all problems went way down. But why be logical, look how well prohibition worked in the US!

what you do to yourself with drugs should not be regulated; what you do to others while using drugs (ANY drugs) should be highly regulated.

I recommend you learn how to take a compliment graciously. That skill can come in handy.

The drunk is not right about addiction, but he is right about the destruction of the judicial system by the prohibition laws
