    Actually, that’s “maneki neko,” which means, welcoming (or inviting) cat. The idea can be either welcoming customers into a store or inviting prosperity.

    I’ve got one on my dresser that greets me when I wake up and open the curtains to let in light. (it has a photo cell to activate the arm swing)

    I’d be telling Bub to cook his fair share of the dinners right about now complete with cleanup like a grownup man. If she cooks every time, she gets to have a couple of “weird fixations.” If he does his share, then he can have them, too. And, BTW, Betty does outside work, too, so don’t pull the man-woman task work crap excuse.

    Chopsticks aren’t all that difficult, they just take a little practice. Once you get the hang of it, it’s kind of fun.Sort of like driving a stick-shift.
